The typical characteristic of Gizella Greguss Mirkovszky's decorative motifs is the organic, stylized floral decoration, connected strongly with nature. Being a painter and a graphic teacher, she usually arranged her works according in mirror symmetry, in this case an oak branch and a poppy stem, creating a mere element of decoration, rhythmically dividing the surface. The extensive use of black silhouettes is also apparent.
