The splaying cup has eight sides. The top rim is also octagonal, the protruding, ribbon-like, flat handle is rectangular. On the side facing the handle, there is a peacock painted in purple, brown, green, blue and yellow, shaded and contoured by black. The ground, as well as the stylized floral ornaments around the bird are detailed, painted in light pastel colours. There is a pansy stem in front of the peacock.
