Blue pattern of white base representing target practice and sword training. The model was a series of engravings by Jacob II De Gheyn, Wapenhandelinghe van roers, musquetten ende spiesen, containing 117 pieces showing military exercises. These engravings were so much liked, that after their first publication in 1608 a further eight editions appeared in the same year. There are similar pieces in the collection of the Kunstgewerbemuseum, Cologne.
