The pear-shaped body is fluted, has a lip, a jointed handle and a gold rim. Its domed cover ends in a finial. On one side is a winged putto playing on the drums, while the other side is decorated with a putto with butterfly wings, playing the trumpet. Both figures are placed on a base with rocaille and plant decoration, painted in manganese. One side of the cover shows a harlequin figure, the other a running dog. The parts of the bodies are shaded in light iron-red. Marked on the bottom of the pot, with and H in grey.
