A green-painted leather binding with embossed pattern. The surface is framed with gilt lines, enriched with fans of spots in the corners. The saddle is divided into six sides by gilt lines and waves of spots. The corners of the fields show small leaf motifs, while there is an alternating rosette or flower basket ornament in the middle. The second field shows the gilt title: I.A. Kereszturi / COMPENDIARIA / DESCRIPTIO / Episcopatus / et / Capit. M. Varad. Pink endpapers, marbled with green, yellow and black with gilt engravings, and a head band sewn with green silk.
