The four baluster legs are joined by a curved, X- shaped stretcher. The square-shaped seat supports the two S-shaped parts that hold the curved arm rests. The square-shaped back support is deco-rated with a curved cresting at the top. The whole surface is decorated with mosaic-like intarsia of lines and tiny geometrical plates. The frieze of the back support shows a Persian inscription: "The chair that is decorated with stars is so valuable that it can be a chair for the kings of the East." (Translated into Hungarian by Professor Geza Fehervari).
