The 1910 Marosvásárhely exhibition

After living in Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureş, Romania) for several years , Ede Toroczkai Wigand organised an exhibition there in winter 1910. He exhibited furnishings for a tiny – but tastefully designed – three-room house. The study was furnished with white-grained black oak and rust-coloured patinated metal mounts. The dining suite was made of red oak with heavy copper mounts, and the bedroom furniture of grey oak. The chandelier and flower holder were of copper and iron. All of the furnishings, except for the coloured windows made in Majoros’ workshop, were made by Marosvásárhely artisans.
