József Vágó

Architect. Graduated from the Budapest University of Technical Sciences in 1900. He began his career as Ignác Alpár’s assistant, then went to work for Ödön Lechner’s planning office. In 1902 he launched an independent design firm together with his brother, László Vágó. In the first years of the 20th century he was one of the designers of the Gresham Palace in Budapest. He produced his most important interior and furniture designs between 1905 and 1907.
