Frigyes Spiegel

Architect and designer. His reputation was at its peak around the turn of the 20th century. He launched a design workshop called La Maison Modeme, which designed modem interiors of unitary concept. He designed the interior decoration and the furnishings for several theatres in Hungary, as well as for banks and places of entertainment in Budapest (Hungarian General Savings Bank of Budapest, Inner City Savings Bank). A founder of the Union of Hungarian Architects, he acted as its president between 1914 and 1917.
