The 1898 Christmas Exhibition of the Hungarian Applied Arts Association

The 1898 Christmas Exhibition organised by the Hungarian Applied Arts Association opened in the first week of December, and much of the floor space was taken up by furniture. The exhibitors included Marcell Komor and Mór Heumann (dining room furniture); Károly Ruprich (suite on an English model); József Rippl-Rónai and Endre Thék (sideboard and solid mahogany table); Alajos Polgár (bedroom furniture); Ödön Faragó and János Lukácsovics (étagère); Mór (Moricz) Hirschler and Lajos Engel (salon furnishings); Pál Horti and Manó Gelb, and János Lukácsovics (two chairs with arms); László Vágó and Wener (bookshelves and desk); Imre Mahunka (dining room furniture); Sarolta Kovalszky Wittmann and Torontál County Home Crafts (woven work); János Vaszary (carpet); Gizella Greguss (Mirkovszky Gézáné) (two appliqué works); Miksa Róth (stained glass and glass mosaic); the Zsolnay company, Emil Fischer (porcelain); Pál Horti (majolica, leather and metalware); Rappaport és Társa; Ö. Fülöp Beck.
