The body of the glass is entwined by a white glass twine net. Between the small lozenges making up the net small air bubbles can be seen due to the manufacturing technique. These create a form of dynamic structure, revived by light. This net decoration favoured by Renaissance is held by a special “wing”: an aventurin-glass copper snake. The imaginary animal with copper shine is made in the astonishing style of the Murano glasses of the 1870s and 1880s.
