The decorators of this dish must have been influenced by the fashionable geometric shapes and the newly created motifs that succeeded traditional ornaments. The surface shows three protruding, dark yellow triangles combined with spirals, green discs and purple-crimson ornaments. The background is light yellow, divided into smaller fields by a wavy network of lines, enriched with a wavy line of rhombus and triangle motifs at the bottom. Below the light brown border line, the bottom of the circle is decorated with small indentations and green glaze. In spite of the abstract nature of this object, the shape and colouring suggest that the point of departure for the motifs of the designer, whose main aim was simplicity, must have been butterflies and a green field.
