Stylized wall sculpture of geometric forms emphasizing the structure. The form is enlivened by a play of negative and positive forms. This effect is reinforced by the metallic green eosin glaze, which changes into blue in the recesses and into orange red on the protruding points.

It was entered into the factory book of forms no.17 with the name Wall ornament with fish, looking left, form no. 9875/B.

Judit Nádor graduated from the Academy of Design as a ceramist in 1962. She worked for the Pécs factory as a designer until 1982. Her figural designs of animals have been typical throughout her career. Her works are characterized by strict closed block-like composition diversified with piercing and the play of negative-positive forms. She matured a theme for a long time before she stylized the shape of the modeled animal into geometric forms with recognizable features. She often devised series. This ornament also has a counterpart looking right and a paired variant as well. She also designed two autonomous fish figures.
