The high, egg-shaped body stands on a round, straight foot. The high neck is also straight, ending in a splaying, plain top rim. The slightly purple pigeon grey base is painted with natural relief decoration with applied pastes in various shades of green, lilac and blue. The foot ring is painted in gold with geometrical motifs this serves as the ground for the hortensia stems of large heads. There are smaller stems with flower shoots between the large ones. One of the hortensia stems is enriched with bell-flowers and a large butterfly at the front, the wings of which are lightly contoured with gold. The motifs faithfully imitate Nature, suggesting a Japanese atmosphere. The picturesque composition is closed by refined, gilt floral ornaments around the top rim.
