The bulging, baluster-shaped body stands on a short, round foot and ends in a short neck and a broadening, wide top. The foot is faceted with lines and olives the edge is lined with gold. The twelve faceted sides of the body are decorated with four fantasy birds in fields enframed by foliage. On the confronting side there are two birds and a Chinese figure holding a basket in one hand and a bird in the other, as well as two other Chinese figures under a parasol. The body is divided at two places by three horizontal, faceted stripes and two golden lines.

Both from an artistic and a technical point of view, this vase is an outstanding representative of Neo-Baroque Lobmeyr glasses painted in schwarzlot.
