The round foot supports a hollow body, with cannelured, relief surface there are female masks in cartouches on both sides, at the shoulder line. The neck is broad and high, richly jointed, lined with different relief borders. On both sides, a winged female herm ending in acanthus leaf connects the body with the neck. The top is broad and splaying, decorated with a geometrical line pattern. Both vases were subjects to the innovations of Vince Wartha, professor of Chemistry, which he performed in the Zsolnay factory of Pécs and in the laboratory of the Technical University of Budapest. The original colours of the majolica glaze - blue, brown, yellow, green and white - are changed into darker, more homogenous, iridescent shades by the lustre cover.
