The high, narrowing body represents a rock, as suggested by the relief decoration. The female figure presses her body close to the rock, looking into the distance her hair and long dress are flapping in the wind. The broad bottom of the vase shape the waves at her feet. The girl standing in a storm is the allegory of hope. The function of a vase and a statuette was united in this case, enriched with a special atmosphere - this was one of the most popular models of the Zsolnay factory. There is a remark on No. 5955 in the Zsolnay Façon book 9. «Mack Lajos mintája», and an x marking that it was restored and produced again from 1928. This model was probably entered in at the 1900 Paris International Exhibition and all other significant exhibitions at home and abroad.
