Tulip vase

The bun-shaped vase stands on a narrow, short foot. It has a straight neck, ending in five pipes called "fingers". Just above the foot, the bottom of the vase is divided into eight fields. Each field is decorated with a flower, painted in purple and black. The body of the vase shows a medallion, with a tied ribbon at the top, enclosed by a laurel wreath, among purple, red, blue and green bunches and garlands. The medallion shows a bunch, painted in purple, blue and green, and on the opposing side, a butterfly, painted in black, yellow and purple, in an identical framework. The bottom of the neck is lined with a laurel garland, tied with a purple ribbon, surmounted with grapes, pears and flowers, painted in red, green, blue and black. The rims of the "fingers" are gilt. Its companion piece, once in the collection of Baron Jeno Nyary, has been damaged.
