The curved, hoofed legs of the table are joined with diagonal stretchers that create a plate in the middle. The hollow, splaying, prismatic body hides a removable tray with slots to hold the various pieces of the toilet set. Its double top opens upwards and outwards. The inside of the folding upper top has a mirror in the middle the sides conceal covered compartments. The outside is inlaid with lozenges. The basin forms a long, arched oval it has a bulging edge and is decorated with rocaille motifs. The initials FF (Fürst Fürstenberg) appear on the basin, as well as on the other pieces of the set. All pieces are decorated with rocaille motifs. (The porcelain parts have blue guild marks of Vienna under the glaze and sunken ANCGO maker's marks.) There is another famous piece similar to this wash-stand in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in. Purchased from Egger brothers, around 1916. The former ownerwas Professor Zuckerkandl in Vienna.
