The four tiles fitted together make a pattern. The intertwined white, geometrical ribbon motifs create a network of stars. White, turquoise, yellow and manganese. Companion pieces can be found in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts (Cat.No.128). Other analogues with "email en relief' decoration are published by Forrer 1901, pl.XXI,7. There are some similar tiles in the Kunstgewerbemuseum of Cologne which were made in the late 15th or early 16th century in Seville or Toledo. Eva Cserey described the above tiles as being from 15th century Seville.
