Tile

The square tile is decorated with an endless pattern of yellow diagonal double lines, creating five whole squares in the middle, half ones on the sides and quarter squares on the corners. The central tile and the fragment squares of the sides are decorated with three flowers contoured with yellow against a dark green background. In the remaining four squares the yellow-contoured, green floral motifs appear over the natural terracotta base of the tile, covered with bright, colourless glaze. Simply with the use of two similar floral motifs and two glazes of different colours a rich pattern, akin in effect to printed textiles, a rich effect was achieved.
