A repeated lattice pattern of circles against covers the whole blue surface. The circles containing the holy crown enclosed by golden leaves, while the fields between the circles are filled with white double crosses among golden acanthus leaves. The circles are enframed by golden leaves against a white base. The juncture of the circles are enriched with round medallions of two different pat-terns: one shows a rosette of four petals on a red background, while the other depicts a square decorated with red and golden leaves. The wall-hanging was made from the St Stephen's room in the Buda castle. The St. Stephen's room was exhibited at the 1900 Paris Exhibition but it was introduced to the Hungarian audience earlier, in the furniture factory of Endre Thék. This silk fabric was not only used for the walls but also for covering the table where the coronation symbols were displayed before the coronation (1916). According to the designer, this wall-hanging was the first golden silk fabric made in the Aranyosmarót factory weavers from Milan were employed in its production.
