This tapestry design, decorated with continuously repeated abstract tendrils in complicated curves was made for the 1898 Christmas exhibition of the Hungarian Society for Applied Arts. In contrast with the dynamic lines, the colours are reserved, using mainly the dark and light, dull shades of turquoise. The tendrils are lined by white. Stylistically it belongs to the book bindings, majolica tile and glass painting designs made by Horti in the last few years of the 19th century. As it is verified through contemporary photos, a similar paper tapestry-planned entirely by Horti-covered the wall in the hall in occasion of the 1899 Christmas exhibition.
