The cup is hemispherical the rim of the saucer rises high in a curve. Both are decorated with delicate motifs, spatially arranged. The surface of the saucer shows a rosette covered with gold leaves, surrounded by rickrack motifs, which is repeated on the inner rim of the cup. The pictures are taken from Nature and painted with pâte-sur-pâte technique. The modest wild flowers, the small bush, the flying and resting birds and butterflies give a delicate, slightly sentimental atmosphere to this light, elaborate and elegant piece.
