This image woven from wool and metal-wire in the gobelin-technique framed in metal represents a dark sky filled with stars.
Ibolya Hegyi’s works are mostly made of classic materials: they are woven using traditional techniques using wool, silk, cotton, linen, various types of metal wire. Some of the frequent themes of her works include the sky, water, and the climate. In her works, she explores and reflects upon the possibilities of timelessness. She was greatly influenced by skies that gradually changed color over time towards blue, and this is why she frequently used the colour in its many different shades.
