The surface of the cylindrical body is covered with a high relief representation of five naked women, the allegories of the five senses with the traditional attributes. Another analogous work with similar figures, an ivory tankard also attributed to Leonhard Kern and dated about 1640 is to be found in the Fürstenberg Princes' Collection in the family's palace of Donaueschingen.
