A round, silver-gilt, chased foot holds the high stem of faceted sides. The stem joins the bowl with a ringed juncture and a large ball node. The funnel-shaped goblet has sixteen faceted sides. The front shows two large galleys on the sea, with several smaller sailing-boats, in a rich framework. The picture is surmounted by the inscription: auf die Wohlfahrt von der Negotie.

The facing side is decorated with a cart drawn by four horses, on a slope. A view of a city appears in the background. Between the two pictures, on a plinth of rich floral decoration, is on one side a man on horseback, blowing a horn, and on the other the figure of Mercury.
