Table cover - from the Reformed Church in Körtvélyes

The borders and a vertical line in the middle of the tablecloth are decorated with embroidery. On the borders is an alternating pattern of pomegranates and slightly curved acanthus leaves with serrated edges. The flowers in the middle line are decorated with a thin, coiling tendril of smaller flowers and leaves. This piece belongs to the heavily stylized type of Hungarian embroidery. The elaborate foliage and the rich embroidery of the main motifs both indicate that it was made in a relatively later period.
