Table clock

Porcelain, richly painted with birds and bugs against a blue background, in a gilt frame. The dial is round, white enamelled, with black numbers. The glass plate is enclosed by a bronze frame, which is enriched with plant garlands between two rows of pearls. The form and the decoration are of the highest quality in Neo-Baroque style it was perhaps for this reason that it had been one of the gifts given as a prize at the 1878 Paris World Exhibition.
