The ribbed base holds a joint, fluted bowl of six sides. The sprinkler, which can be screwed off the body, has also got six sides, painted with poly-chrome chinoiserie. The colours are purple, green a little blue, yellow and manganese.

The workshop was founded by Carl Franz Hannong in 1721. This sugar dredger was made during the activity of his grandson, Joseph Hannong.
