A seated male figure rendered in close to abstract forms. The openwork figure rests its left elbow on the left knee and the right hand on the right knee.

The design drawing of the figure can be found in the factory book of forms no. 17, with form no. 97121 entitled Mood.

János Török was employed by the Pécs factory after graduation from the Academy of Design in 1956 and worked there until he retired in 1992. In the first years, the latter half of the 1950s, he designed figures in a naturalist style. His interlaced, merging compositions often depict close human relations like the relationship of man and woman, mother and child. One of the best known pieces of this period is the pensive figure of Mood.

Marked. On the bottom, the five towers and three shields with the inscription ZSOLNAY / PÉCS can be seen.
