The flat, rectangular plinth is supported by four ball feet, rimmed with a row of standing palmets. The plinth support the spice box of two compartments, standing on four, outwardly bent feet, screwed to the plinth. The bottom shows flower ornaments its rim is protruding. The sides are decorated with figural scenes: there is a lying male figure on the two longer sides, reading or smoking a pipe. The shorter sides show a bunch of fruits with doves or rabbits. The top part and the plinth is connected with and ivory inlay, decorated with black paint rubbed in the engraved base: the longer side show a garland of fruits, while the shorter ones depict a lying man, playing with a dog on one side, while on the other, there is a young woman sending a dove with the mail, holding a side in her right.
