The corners of the prismatic box are rounded, with wavy sides. The cover is decorated with the scene of Christ's baptism, in a rococo frame. Christ is standing in the water, while St. John, standing on the right of Christ, pours water from a shell. To the left is an angel, holding a wrap. The soul of a God descends from the open Heavens. There is no known graphic model for the composition.
