The settee stands on four prismatic, slightly splayed legs that rest on gilt balls. The back legs are slightly bowed. The vertical arm-supports are placed on the seat-rail they join the arm-rests in volute motifs. The sides of the arm-rests are decorated with carved and gilt rosettes. The back support is divided into three parts the middle one is equipped with a cushion. Its rising frame is decorated with an ink painting in a round field, showing the typical ornaments of Empire. The side parts are pierced, decorated with a Mercury column in the middle, while the curved top shows two gilt rosettes and ink painting on each side.
