The settee stands on six splayed, fluted, prismatic legs. The front of the seat-rail has carved circle ornaments above the legs. The caned seat narrows backwards, and its back corners are rounded. It is divided into two parts around the central axis. The back-support is curved, pierced, with a wavy top and a rising middle. According to the previous owner, the piece comes from the furniture of the Somogyvar Country house of the Szechenyi family.
