A female figure in the clothing of sixteenth century German aristocracy, her hands folded. The clothes are painted in polychrome glazes the face and the hands are decorated with engobe technique, mat. The statue is covered with engobe glaze, like Italian faience pieces in general. This is the reason why the German provenance can be doubted.
