Samplers contained several patterns that could be used in the decoration of smaller accessories, i.e. handbags, notebooks, gloves, or in the decoration of upholstery fabrics. In the centre there is a still life, with the date 1854 beneath. It is surrounded by various bunches of flowers at the top, the symbol of Faith-Hope-Love appears. The AZ, MA and SK initials are embroidered among the motifs one of them is the initial of the embroiderer, Anna Ziszter. The bottom shows squares of ten different embroidery patterns, in two rows.
