The front two legs are carved and voluted, while the back ones are plain, and prismatic. The profiled, jointed plinth sticks out slightly. The plain kneeling desk can be opened its front is carved with acanthus leaves. The top part has a small cupboard, flanked by two pilasters. The profiled, square-shaped panel of the door shows a so-called "cabochon" motif outside the panel are carved volutes and acanthus leaves. The top is similar to the plinth it hides a drawer with a wooden knob and motifs of acanthus leaves and running dogs.
There is another, though simpler, prayer stool of the 1600's in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts. It was made in Italy and decorated with angel heads (Inv. No. 69.1477).
