Front: The profile of a man with beard and a long hair, looking left, surmounted by the inscription «JEAN- LOUIS PASCAL ARCHITECTE». Back: A cartouche frame on an ivy covered oak shows the dates «1872-1897» and the inscription «ABRITES PAR SON OMBRE ET NOURRIS DE SA SEVE». To the right, a domed building appears behind a mountain that is engramed by the rays of the rising sun. There are church ruins in front of the hill. Chaplain won Grand Prix at the 1900 Paris International Exhibition, he was asked to prepare the medals for the winners (see BMAA Inv.Nos. 68.260 and 71.160). Twelve of the French plaques bought by Jenő Radisics at the exhibition, were made by him (see Radisics 1901 Nos. 15-26).
