The fluted body of the pipe is lathe-turned meerschaum the front of the bowl is carved in high relief. The relief scene depicts Arpad being lifted onto a shield, as it is presented on the poster of the Millennial Exhibition (Károly Gerster-Géza Mirkovszky, 1896). There is a carved ornament of scrolls, acanthus leaves and rosettes under the scene. The neck of the pipe has a protruding handle on each side the rim of the neck is covered with silver. There are two rings connected to the silver rim, one for the fixing of the stem, the other for holding the chain and the cover. The silver cover is jointed, partly pierced and engraved. The rim of the bowl is also covered with silver. The purple leather case is lined with blue velvet and atlas there is a maker's mark inside DONATH SANDOR (BUDAPEST) KOSSUTH LAJOS UTCZA 3 sz. According to a handwritten note enclosed with the pipe, it was brought from the 1896 Millennial exhibition by Baron Félix Gerliczy Sr, as a gift for the "father" of Endre Muzsay.
