Albarello shape, decorated with lambrequin motifs above the base, on the neck and under the upper rim. The top part is decorated with foliage, while the neck is ornamented with opposing triangles. The body of the pot is divided into two fields by leaves, intertwined with ribbons. One of the fields shows a youth, holding a spear and shield, on a greenish-yellow background with blue spots grouped in threes. The sides are decorated with flowers, berries and tendrils. The other field shows a scroll bearing an inscription, dividing the field into two smaller parts. The inscription reads SEME. COMVNE. SPES. The upper field shows a stylized star with dots between its points the lower one has the maker's mark GEM written on it. A similar piece with the same decoration, painted in orange and green on a blue background, can be found in the British Museum of London.
