The box forms a short, cylindrical fortress tower, with an arched, closed gate and stairs at the front. There is a repousse female head peering out of the window above the gate. Three more windows enriches the engraved brick motifs that cover the whole surface. The cover is detachable, with a slot at the top for dropping in the coins.
