The body of four bulging sections has a long neck and a splaying top rim. There is a ring at the juncture of the neck and the body. The stopper is hollow, bulging upwards. Both the body and the stopper are painted with wild rose boughs in brown, green and pink transparent enamel. The ring is gilt. The whole surface of the carafe is slightly iridescent.
The shape follows Venetian blown glass traditions the decoration shows a special combination of Neo-Rococo and Art Nouveau motifs, typical of the Schreiber glasses produced at that time. The jug with Inv.No. 861 and the stemmed cup with Inv.No. 863 of the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts have similar decoration.
