The splayed, eggs-shaped octagonal jar is decorated with alternating cobalt stripes of flowers and birds, and slanted lattice-work and rosettes. The decoration is continued on the lid, which has a joint finial. It is typical chinoiserie decoration. Marked, on the bottom: J36G in cobalt.
