Ornamental plate

The whole surface of the round, short, horizontal rim is decorated with cloisonné enamel: lavender blue, green yellow and black motifs against a light blue base. The folkloric ornaments are arranged in four, symmetrical motifs. In contrast with Fabergé products, made first of all for aristocratic orders, the factory of the Gratshev brothers produced folkloric objects in the second half of the 19th century, reviving old techniques, including enamel decoration.
