The plate is round, with a wavy rim. The surface shows a naked, relief female figure with an eagle, the rim is decorated with the alternating figures of two masks, a skull and mermaids. The Budapest Museum of Applied Arts purchased two pieces from Desbois at the 1900 Paris International Exhibition. One of them, with Inv.No. 56 is similar to the plate described above both in size, shape and composition. This plate depicts a figure of classical mythology. The sitting figure bends forward, hiding her face with one of her arms and hugging the animal. The central ornament is enframed by the vivid, relief decoration of the rim.
