The deep dish has a broad (10.5 cm) rim. The surface shows a cameo etched decoration of rosaline layered glass, presenting pinks and tulips, and small, leaved plants. The rim is lined with leaved pomegranates and a flowery border, closed by a wide stripe. This dish is a masterpiece of Sovánka's works with etched, Hungarian-style decoration. According to information kindly supplied by the son of István Sovánka, he made the object for János Fadrusz in Zay-Ugrócz, between 1880 and 1905.
