The mustard bowl stands on three paw feet, joined by a pierced stretcher. Foliage with rosettes stem from the plain feet, ending in two confronting swan figures, with pierced motifs between them. The rim is chased and engraved with foliage motifs the domed lid is lined with lozenges and ends in a pineapple finial. The cast handle forms a question mark it is chased with an olive branch. The accompanying cylindrical glass bowl is rounded at the bottom, with clouded lines at the top rim. The decoration of the salt box is identical with that of the mustard bowl. Each of its two parts has round bowls, combined with a cast female herm figure in the middle. The figure ends in leaf motifs: a round, engraved repousse handle springs from its head. All parts are provided with goldsmith's marks: city mark, quality mark, import mark, and the A.M. maker's mark, yet unidentified. Ref. Not yet published.
