The horizontal circles of the outside are decorated with stylized foliage and intertwined ribbons. Above the bottom rim there is an inscription in majuscules: REGNIER BLONDEL MA FAICT TANT QUE VIVRAIJEI SERVIRAI. Dated 1582 on the upper circle. Its maker, the bell-founder of Arras, is well-known in international literature. However, the oeuvre catalogue or other examples of his works are as yet unknown.
