The cylindrical mortar with an expanded rim is decorated with vases of flowers in lozenge and pentagon cartouches (one on each side). Apart from the Italian carafe motifs there are stylized foliage and flowers. A curving handle is soldered to the side. The rim is decorated with horizontal ribs.
